    Things are looking up!

Written by admin on Feb 23rd, 2008 | Filed under: Updates

    Hi again everyone!

Well, thankfully this update will be quite a bit more light hearted than the last one! I just wanted to touch base with everyone & let you all know that everything is going well with the upgrades to AA. We are still looking for some more staff members. We’ll be releasing the new AA within the next few months, complete with a brand spanking new, super-awesome chat room & a lot of other cool gadgets & features for you guys.

Asian Affinity is also teaming up with some folks from all over the place & working with them on an online magazine, so if you’re interested in writing about Asian culture, cuisine, music or entertainment, feel free to drop us a line about that, too! I’d also like to make mention that we are in need of some translators, so if that’s something you would like to contribute, it’d be greatly appreciated. We’ve got staff from all over the world, that are all from various ethnic backgrounds working on this project & so far their efforts have paid off beautifully. One lucky member of our magazine staff recently attended the JYP press conference in New York City on February 20th.

As far as the magazine goes, it’s called Eastbound FX. We’ve got interviews with Johnny Nguyen, Far*East Movement, Kaba Modern, as well as video footage of the JYP press conference (featuring J.Lim, the Wonder Girls, G-Soul, Lil’Jon & Jin Young Park). I’ll keep you updated on when the mag will be launched. Below are photos of some of the aforementioned people.

In the meantime, I urge you to click our Amazon link & purchase items through that, so we can speed up the process of getting the site back online. Also, please let us know any features you’d like added to the site, as this is a community & your opinions matter. Feel free to check out HalfandHalf’s blog, as well as the Sexy Straight & Asian homepage, as they’ve been updated!

    Best Wishes,

    Direct From The Admin

To All members of AsianAffinity and Club AMWF:

Hello everyone! I’m Midori, the owner and Administrator of both Asian Affinity and Club AMWF, and I’d like to Thank you for your patience as the sites are being renovated and updated. You all may have had some questions as to why we have been under maintenance for so long and I’d like this statement to clear up any misunderstandings.

First of all, I’d like to say thank you to everyone that has helped make us a great place for so long. You’re all greatly appreciated & your contributions to the website have been awesome!

However, Asian Affinity will remain closed, until we finish renovating the site and finish the process of replacing our staff. That being said, if you’re interested in being a part of our team please email at: admin@asianaffinity.com. Both moderators and co-administrators are needed, so be sure to include your prior experience as an admin/mod, if any, as well as if you have any experience using vBulletin, and of course what you bring to the table. Please be patient until we’re back online. We promise to have quite a few new goodies for you guys, so stay tuned for that! —Please note that any email outside of job applications will be ignored and deleted, as will any inquiry as to the status, ownership or sale of Asian Affinity or Club AMWF.

There is no confusion to ownership of Asian Affinity or Club AMWF, as they were both purchased by me out of my own pocket. We did have an administration head, that was part of our team, who was a designated “leader” in the beginning, but this person had since handed over control of the main entity to me, and said person was later removed, due to behaving in a manner that was detrimental to the site, as well as it’s members & our team structure. Please know that this person has no legal right to either domain in any way, shape or form, as they both legally belong to me. Our backups of the site, its editing, the concepts, and various other stages are all noted copied and filed, so any question of legality will be met with such proof.

We apologize to the Club AMWF members, especially since we were the only forum in existence, which catered to it’s particular concept for adult entertainment. We know many of you have supported us, believing we could provide you with adult material, but unfortunately we could not do this in an upstanding manner. This is why that part of our community will be closed indefinitely, or until we can find a way to bring such material to you legally. That being said, if you have any information on how we can partner with an adult production company or become a part of the adult industry, and you are genuinely interested in re-opening Club AMWF, please email me at: admin@clubamwf.com, with which company you are from and/or how you believe we can work together on this matter. —Please note that any emails outside of this subject will be ignored and deleted, as will any inquiry as to the status, ownership or sale of Asian Affinity or Club AMWF.

Any donations that Club AMWF was given were recycled into various projects that the team was working on, as well as back into Club AMWF itself. The funds were used for merchandise that was readily brought back to use, such as adult films, accounts at numerous offshore and anonymous hosting sites, file sharing accounts, programs, computer equipment, computer software, various forum softwares, legal copyright removals of such softwares, multiple forum licenses, electronic equipment related to video/audio production (all to be used by the staff to contribute to the sites), legal fees, as well as necessities for the staff to continue doing their jobs of maintaining the sites. Also please know that the rumors of the site making gigantic amounts of money are untrue and have been exaggerated.

Also note that we do not wish to have any bad relations with any other forums or any of our former staff members. As far as our former staff members go, we just have a different understanding of what happened. Our staff were once a happy family, thinking and acting as a unit, but due to constant power struggles and conflicting ideas of where to take the sites, we’ve been forced apart, and unfortunately it’s been on bad terms. We would like to move on from this.

I would also like to address that there are some forums that have threads on the aforementioned matters, and on those sites, there was a specific person that said they have contacted me in regards to the sites being for sale, however they downright lied about my response to them. I have never told anyone who was interested in purchasing the sites to “F*** off”, as that is not my nature. I have had numerous offers for both sites, and have refused to sell them. I have addressed everyone whose contacted me regarding the websites with respect and sincerity.

    Thank you,
    - Midori
